HOLIDAY TENANCY TERMS AND CONDITIONS


Thank you for choosing to book your holiday with Go Coastal, as a valued guest please ensure you read the information below to make your stay is an enjoyable one.
All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understood and agree to abide, and be bound, by the following Terms and Conditions and House Rules.
Whilst our aim is to maintain a high standard of accommodation, we act as a booking agent and cannot be held responsible for the standard of privately owned holiday rental properties or if the property does not meet the tenants expectations or suitability.
Please note: Keys will only be issued once you have completed and signed the Terms and Conditions, House Rules and Bond Form and paid all accommodation/booking fees.

CHECK IN TIME: 3.00pm CHECK OUT TIME: 10.00am.


1.PAYMENT:
A Deposit of 50% of the total tariff plus a non-refundable Booking Fee of $35.00 is required within 48 hours of booking your accommodation, with the Balance payable 14 days prior to your arrival date.
We will require your credit card details 48 hours prior to your arrival date for the purpose of holding a security bond for the property that you will be occupying.
For Summer Bookings (i.e. all bookings from 15th December to 26th January inclusive) we require a Holding Deposit of $535.00 payable upon booking, with the balance of the 50% Deposit plus the non-refundable Booking Fee of $35.00 due on the 1st June prior to your arrival, and final payment due in full by no later than the 15th November.
We accept personal cheques, money orders, EFTPOS and credit cards (but excluding AMEX or Diners cards). Payment by Credit Card will incur an additional charge of 1.65%.
Security bonds are not transferable.
2.SECURITY BOND:
The security bond must be paid 48 hours prior to arrival. All security bonds will be returned within 14 days of departure subject to a satisfactory inspection of the tenanted property after you have vacated. Funds will be deducted from the security bond if we need to make a claim which may include, but not limited to, the following: excess cleaning fees, damages or breakages, excess garbage removal, late checkout, loss of keys/remotes, property left unsecured or any consequent loss suffered by the Property Owner/Agent.
3.CANCELLATIONS:
All monies paid are non-refundable. However, in exceptional circumstances, if you cancel or fail to use your holiday accommodation booking, a refund may be payable (after deduction of $135.00 Administration Fee) if the accommodation is able to re-booked for the same period, at the same rental rate as your booking.
4.KEYS/REMOTE CONTROLS:
Upon payment in full of your accommodation and booking fees, keys (and remote controls if applicable) can be collected between 3.00pm and 5.30pm on your arrival date unless prior arrangements have been made. If you intend to arrive after hours, then you must make prior arrangements with our office. No responsibility will be taken for late arrivals without prior notice. All guests are responsible for the safekeeping of accommodation keys/remote controls and call out fees are payable if a replacement key is required after hours.
All keys/remote controls are to be returned by no later than 10.00am on your departure date. Late checkouts will be charged at full daily rental without exception.
5.SECURITY:
Keys must not be left at the property. The property must be securely locked, windows closed and all lights, heaters, fans etc. turned off upon departure. A charge may apply if this requirement is not adhered to.
6.NUMER OF OCCUPANTS:
Unless otherwise previously agreed with the Agent/Property Owner, all holiday accommodation must only be used for private, residential usage only and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your Booking Confirmation. No functions or parties may be conducted at the Property under any circumstances. Exceeding the stated number of guests will result in a termination of your Booking and you being required to vacate the Holiday Accommodation immediately without refund. Charges for additional guests will be debited to your Credit Card without further notice.

7.CLEANING:
All Holiday Accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that the holiday occupants will treat the property with the respect and due care. Any additional excessive cleaning expenses will be debited to your Credit Card without further notice if the Terms and Conditions are not complied with. A cleaning fee of $55 will apply if the BBQ is not left in a clean state.
8.SEPTIC TANKS:
Most houses in the area have septic tanks and therefore you must not flush any foreign object into the system.
9.INSPECTION:
The owner or agent can make an inspection of the property anytime upon demand.
10.PETS:
Unless specifically stated as being pet friendly, no pets are allowed either onto the grounds of the Property, nor inside the holiday accommodation under any circumstances. The Agent is not responsible for the confinement of your pet. Any pets found in holiday accommodation properties will result in a termination of your booking and additional cleaning charges will be debited against your security bond if this occurs. If your holiday accommodation is a designated Pet Friendly property, then I/we agree that we will abide by the additional terms and conditions detailed in Pet Dos and Don’ts attached.
11.PHONES AND INTERNET:
You acknowledge that unless otherwise stated, telephone and internet access is not available to the holiday accommodation.
12.WHAT TO BRING AND LINEN:
All premises are fully self-contained, HOWEVER LINEN AND PERSONAL REQUISITES ARE NOT PROVIDED. Unless otherwise stated on our website at www.gocoastal.com.au, you will need to bring sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats, tea towels etc. Whilst some holiday accommodation properties have small quantities of washing powder, detergents, soap and toilet paper, it is expected that you will need to bring supplies depending upon your length of stay.
13.PERSONAL PROPERTY:
Please remember to take your personal property and belongings with you upon your departure as the Property Owner/Agent accept no responsibility whatsoever for any such items left behind or damaged during your stay at the property.
14.BREAKAGES AND DAMAGE:
Whilst you are in occupation, you are fully responsible for all breakages and damage caused to the Property, its furniture fittings, or any consequent loss suffered by the Property Owner/Agent. Any such breakages, damage or loss must be reported IMMEDIATELY to the Agent and either replaced to the satisfaction of the Property Owner/Agent, or paid for prior to departure. Failure to comply with this condition will result in a debit of any such costs and expenses to your Credit Card without further notice.
15.RUBBISH:
The tenant must leave the property free of rubbish including placing of all rubbish in bins provided. Recycle bin is for recycle use only. Charges will apply for the removal of any excess rubbish or sorting of the recycle bin. All excess rubbish must be removed from the property. A rubbish hopper is located at the end of Normanby Rd Sorrento. Rubbish collection days are specified on the “Arrival and Departure” checklist.
16.VACANT POSSESSION & GENERAL CONDUCT:
The tenant must vacate the premises at the end of the period of letting or earlier upon demand by the owner or the agent.
Additional charges or immediate termination may apply in the event of unnecessary or excessive noise nuisance or disturbance caused to neighbouring properties during your occupancy. You hereby acknowledge and agree that the Agent has the absolute and sole discretion to cancel your occupancy in the event that your actions or behaviour compromise the safety and/or quiet enjoyment of neighbouring properties or others. You hereby agree that you will be fully responsible and liable for payment of all charges incurred, irrespective of such cancellation, together with any financial loss suffered by the Property Owner and/or Agent, to be debited against your security bond without further notice.
17.SMOKERS:
All holiday accommodation properties are Smoke Free. Please refrain from smoking inside the house and if you are smoking outside please dispose of buts appropriately.
18.DISCLAIMER:
I/We hereby acknowledge and agree that the Property Owner and Agent will not be held responsible nor liable for:
•Any injury or loss suffered by the occupants, their invitees or guests whatsoever or howsoever caused whilst I/we are in occupancy of the holiday accommodation due to my/our failure to comply with the Terms & Conditions or House Rules.
•Any injury or loss suffered by the occupants, their invitees or guests whatsoever or howsoever caused due to negligence on my/our/their part.
•Any injury or loss suffered by the occupants, their invitees or guests whatsoever or howsoever caused as a result of insects or wildlife in or around the holiday accommodation site. All occupants are to take specific care at all times within this rural area and requested not to approach any such wildlife under any circumstances.
•Any noise, disturbance or inconvenience caused as a result of renovation/building/road works being carried out in or near the vicinity of the holiday accommodation
•The standard of any privately owned holiday accommodation furnishings and fittings.
•It is hereby agreed that the Agent provides holiday accommodation booking services only for and on behalf of the Property Owner. Any property descriptions or advertising materials are to be viewed as a general guide only. The Agent or its representatives will not be held responsible or liable for any deficiency in the holiday accommodation or its furniture/fittings.
The Property Owners reserve the right to cancel any holiday accommodation bookings at any time, and in this event, all reasonable endeavours will be used to offer you alternative holiday accommodation but without liability.


PET DO’S AND DON’T’S:

All dog droppings must be removed from premises prior to departure.
1.Your dog must not under any circumstances be taken inside the premises.
2.An EXTRA fee of $50 is charged and payable when the balance of your accommodation monies is paid.
3.The owner of the dog is liable for any damage caused to the premises or resulting loss suffered by the property owner.
4.It is the occupier’s responsibility to ensure their dog is suitably restrained within the rear yard of the premises.
5.A barking or aggressive dog will not be tolerated under any circumstances and may result in the termination of your booking.
6.If there is found to be any infringement relating to any of the above, Go Coastal has the right to request immediate vacation of the premises without refund.
